How to use the Lansinoh manual breast pump
- Wash your hands, then sterilise the parts before first use: the manufacturer states 10 minutes in boiling water.
- Assemble the pump and attach the collection bottle.
- Place the flange against the breast, well centred on the nipple, then work the handle in stimulation mode.
- Switch to expression mode with the button on the handle for a slower rhythm, and stop if you feel pain.
- Remove the bottle, keep the milk cool or give it soon, then clean the parts: the manufacturer states they are dishwasher safe, except the white valve, the silicone diaphragm stem and the flange, which are hand washed.
Precautions
